Quick Setup

  • Connect HDMI monitor to the IOT-GATE-RPI5 display output using an HDMI cable.
    • NOTE: IOT-GATE-RPI5 features mini-HDMI type-C connectors. To connect a standard HDMI type-A cable, use the Compulab IOTG2-ACC-HDMIC2A (or equivalent) adapter.
  • Connect USB mouse and keyboard devices to the IOT-GATE-RPI5 USB connectors.
    • NOTE: Raspberry Pi O/S first boot setup requires display and keyboard. It cannot be completed via serial console.
  • Connect power to IOT-GATE-RPI5 using one of the following options:
    • Use the Compulab IOTG2-ACC-PSUTB3 PSU. Insert the PSU plug into the IOT-GATE-RPI5 DC input terminal block.
    • Use any 12V–24V DC power supply. Connect PSU wires to the IOT-GATE-RPI5 DC terminal block plug and ensure correct polarity.
  • Once power is connected, IOT-GATE-RPI5 will turn on and boot into the O/S.
  • The ON LED indicates IOT-GATE-RPI5 system status:
    • Blinking blue — the operating system is running correctly.
    • Solid amber — unit is in boo-loader stage. O/S is not running.
