Connector Locations
Interfaces and Functions
DC Power
SB-UCMIMX93 main power should be supplied using 12V DC power supply included in the evaluation kit. Adapters for European AC and US AC outlets are included. Connect the power supply to connector J4.
Serial Console
To begin using serial console connect your host PC to the micro-USB connector P16 using the USB cable from the evaluation kit.
Display
MIPI-DSI
SB-UCMIMX93 supports direct connection with the Startec KD050HDFIA 5" MIPI-DSI LCD panel.
Connect the display data cable to connector P11.
Connect the display touch-panel cable to connector P12
LVDS
SB-UCMIMX93 supports direct connection with the Startec KD070HDTLA020 7" LVDS LCD panel.
Connect the display data cable to connector P7.
Connect the display touch-panel cable to connector P8
USB
SB-UCMIMX93 features two USB2.0 ports that are derived from the i.MX93 USB sub-system:
- Connectors J5 and J6 – USB type-A connectors
SD card
SB-UCMIMX93 supports SD card storage through micro-SD socket P15. Pressing and holding the SD-boot button SW3 during power-up or hardware reset forces UCM-iMX93L to boot firmware from the SD card.
Ethernet
SB-UCMIMX93 provides Ethernet port via RJ45 connector P13.
CAN bus
One CAN bus interface is available via terminal block J21.
Terminal block plug is included with the eval-kit.

RS485
One RS485 interface is available via terminal block J22.
Terminal block plug is included with the eval-kit.
RS485 bus on-board termination can be enabled by shorting jumper E12.

RS232
One RS232 interface is available via DB9 connector P17.

Multi-functional signals access
I2C
I2C interface is available via header P3.

ADC
ADC signals are available via header P3.

GPIO
GPIO signals is available via header P3.

System
Reset
Pressing the reset button SW2 triggers system hardware reset.
Boot Sequence Selection
Pressing and holding the SD-boot button SW3 during power-up or hardware reset forces UCM-iMX93L to boot firmware from an SD card in socket P15.
Pressing and holding the SDP-mode button SW4 during power-up or hardware reset forces UCM-iMX93L to enter Serial Download Mode.
Power ON / OFF
Long press on the Power On button SW1 shuts down the device.
RTC
RTC is implemented on UCM-iMX93L and receives power from coin-cell battery BH1.
Jumper E9 must be shorted for correct RTC operation.
JTAG
JTAG interface is available via header P4.

Jumpers Summary
Jumpers:
- E2 - force UCM-iMX93L to perform firmware boot from SD card.
- E7 - force UCM-iMX93L to enter serial download mode (SDP).
- E8 - V_SOM power rail current measurement.
- E9 - RTC battery power.
- E11 - USB2 multiplexing between mini-PCIe socket P18 and USB connector J6.
- E12 - RS485 termination control.
Default state:
- Jumper E9 is populated
