IOT-GATE-RPI5: OS Configuration Layer
Overview
IOT-GATE-RPI5 runs standard Raspberry Pi OS with an additional IOT-GATE-RPI5 OS Configuration Layer that sets-up the gateway peripheral devices and provides useful tools for device configuration and management.
This article provides instructions needed to install IOT-GATE-RPI5 OS Configuration Layer onto the Compulab IOT-GATE-RPI5 that runs standard Raspberry Pi OS.
The IOT-GATE-RPI5 OS Configuration Layer is distributed as a set of Debian packages:
- iot-gate-rpi5-firmware - pre-built Device Tree Blobs (DTBs) and Device Tree Overlays (DTBOs) for the IOT-GATE-RPI5 platform
- iot-gate-rpi5-config - configuration and management suite providing support for IOT-GATE-RPI5 peripherals and Industrial I/O interfaces
Upgrading a standard Raspberry Pi OS installation with the IOT-GATE-RPI5 OS Configuration Layer is as simple as downloading and extracting the ZIP archive, then installing the Debian packages.
Downloading
Use the following command to download and extract IOT-GATE-RPI5 OS configuration layer package archive:
