CL-SOM-iMX8MAX: Yocto Linux: Installing Yocto images onto the eMMC

The CompuLab Deployment Tool is a shell script that allows to deploy a working OS image from an SD card to CL-SOM-iMX8MAX on-board storage (eMMC).

Installing Yocto images onto CL-SOM-iMX8MAX eMMC

Prepare a bootable SD card and use it to boot the system as described here.
Run the Yocto Linux image that you intend to deploy.
Follow the step-by-step procedure below:

On Linux command line type cl-deploy command:
Select a installation target storage: on CL-SOM-iMX8MAX, the eMMC device is mmcblk0. Press space button to select
Be aware of the fact that all the data on the target storage will be erased
While installation process is running the output screen shows the log and progress
When installation is complete, the following message will show up
