IOT-GATE-iMX7 and SBC-IOT-iMX7: Linux: Manual Installation

Introduction

This article provides an introduction on how to install the Linux kernel and the example root filesystem image on the IOT-GATE-iMX7 Internet of Things Gateway or CompuLab SBC-IOT-iMX7 Internet of Things Single Board Computer eMMC internal storage device or removable MMC/SD card.
The following media can be used as a source for installation onto the eMMC internal storage device:

• Micro SD card
• USB storage device
• Network interface

Additionally, Linux images can be installed onto removable micro SD card using Linux host machine.
