== Creating a new OSDesign ==

<li>Start VS 2005 and select {{Filename|File->New->Project}} menu option.

<li>In the Project Types pane, select the “Platform Builder for CE 6.0” option

<li>To enable relevant and desired drivers, view the BSP documentation for the product you purchased (e.g: CM-X300, CM-T3530 , etc.)</li>

<li>Add chosen Subprojects to your design:
* To create a subproject go to the solution explorer, right click the {{Filename|Subprojects}} node and select {{Filename|Add New Subproject}}
* To add an existing subproject go to the solution explorer, right click the {{Filename|Subprojects}} node and select {{Filename|Add Existing Subproject}}

<li>Select the {{Filename|Project->Properties}} menu option and then select {{Filename|Configuration Properties->Build Options}}
Uncheck all options, except for {{Filename|Enable Eboot Space in memory}} and {{Filename|Run Time Image can be larger than 32 MB}} (if that is the case)

=== Standard Device Drivers ===
In the catalog you can find the {{Filename|Device Drivers}} section with drivers to several widely used hardware.

<br>For example, if you have a Realteck Ethernet on Base module, you can add the {{Filename|RealTeck RTL8139}} component from the ''Device Drivers->Networking->Local Area Networking (LAN) devices''.

=== Standard OS Components ===
When using one of the templates in the Create New OSDesign wizard many core components are selected automatically, however you can go through the list and add more components according to your needs. The Core OS components can be found at {{Filename|Core OS->CEBASE->Core OS Services}}<br>
For example, you need {{Filename|Device Manager}} ({{Filename|SYSGEN_DEVICE}}) for most drivers.

=== Key components overview ===
The BSP component alone is not always sufficient for the driver to work properly.  There is a need for some {{Filename|Core OS}} components to implement full functionality.
The following are recommended components for some BSP drivers:
