Connectors P20 is a standard miniPCIe / mSATA connector. P20 is available only in case your system implements SATA and/or secondary PCI-Express interfaces.

P20, if available, enables operation of following types of devices with the system:

1. mSATA drives
   • mSATA drives are supported if SATA interface is available at pins 21, 23, 27 and 29 of system-on-module.
   • Type of device (mSATA/PCIe/USB) snapped into connector P20 as well as jumper E10 setting determine the system-on-module interface (SATA / Secondary PCI-Express) exposed through P20.
   • LED DS7, if populated, indicates the system-on-module interface accessible through connector P20 and connector P12.
2. mini PCI-Express form factor PCI-Express endpoint devices.
   • PCI-Express devices are supported if a secondary PCI-Express interface is available at pins 167, 169, 173 and 175 of system-on-module.
   • Type of device (mSATA/PCIe/USB) snapped into connector P20 as well as jumper E10 setting determine the system-on-module interface (SATA / Secondary PCI-Express) exposed through P20.
   • LED DS7, if populated, indicates the system-on-module interface accessible through connector P20 and connector P12.
3. miniPCIe form factor USB devices (such as cellular modems).
   • USB devices are supported at connector P20 if the SB-SOM USB hub upstream port is implemented with system-on-module.
   • Jumper E7 setting determines whether USB interface is accessible at connector P20.
   • LED DS6 indicates whether USB interface is accessible at connector P20.
   • When a cellular modem is snapped into connector P20, a standard micro-SIM card can be interfaced with the modem through connector P14 (micro-SIM socket).
